More than 30 prisoners, escaped from Al-Shamayteen prison in the city of al-Taraba, south of Taiz. Media sources reported that more than thirty prisoners managed to escape through a hole in the prison wall. It is not the first time that prisoners escape from the Shamaytin prison, a number of prisoners have been escaped months ago, under the involvement of one of prison guards in the escape operation.
