Americans are building a military base in Hanish al-Kubra in the Red Sea

Two US military planes landed on the island of Hanish al-Kubra, about 40 kilometers from the city of Al-Mukha, carrying various equipment, including those for eavesdropping and intelligence monitoring. After the alliance countries managed to control the islands of Socotra in the Arabian Sea and Moun in Bab al-Mandeb and Zaqr in the Red Sea.

Special sources quoted in an interview with «Lebanese News» that a number of American experts, immediately upon they arrived in the island, sought  installing radar devices, Noting that the island was exposed during the first year of the war to an air strike led to the departure of fishermen before it was controlled by the forces of “coalition” in early December 2015.

In parallel with the arrival of the two US military transport planes to the island, Coalition forces prevented all forces operating in the rest of the islands, as well as near the Yemeni coast, from approaching Hanish island, without revealing the reasons for the ban, but it is clear that the goal is to maintain the privacy of  US military move, which comes in the context of «coalition» media on the imminent approach to a major military operation aimed at controlling the port of Hodeidah. The islands of Zeker and Hanish are among the most important islands with a strategic location in the Red Sea, in its supervision of international shipping lines and its proximity to the main strait of Bab al-Mandab, as well as enjoying with diverse terrain and multiple marine resources.
