Unknown gunmen robbed the Central Bank of Yemen in the interim capital of Aden.
Local sources in the city explained to Al-Sabah Al-Yemeni that armed men wearing military uniform attacked the bank building, and looted one and a half billion Yemeni riyals, before they loaded on board cars and fled.
The sources added that the looting took place with the complicity of the bank’s management, where the amount that was allocated as salaries for the fourth military command and security units were looted it were the salaries of the months March and April.
Observers of the Yemeni file confirmed that the looting comes in the context of a play to hide the crime of large looting of money by the loyalists of legitimacy.
