At least 20 of Hadi’s government soldiers have been killed or injured in a blast in southern city of Aden, a security official says. The explosion took place inside an ammunition depot of presidential guards in central Aden.
‘The blast was accidental,’ he added without providing details. Local security sources initially reported that two powerful explosions took place near army outposts in Aden, leaving an unspecified number of casualties. Aden is the provisional capital of Yemen’s Saudi-backed government, which has been locked in a devastating war with Houthi for more than two years. In recent months, Aden has seen a wave of attacks, mainly targeting security forces.
